So you will not regret anything when you come back home. Or, maybe a little bit …

Have you already realized that your exchange semester in Norway is almost over? Don’t worry, here is your help – the real “to-do list” that is possible to be done in one night!

Don’t think I’m going to tell you about clichés. We all know that hiking, cross-country skiing, and cabin trips are only motifs from idealized postcards (eventually from your Instagram feed where you want to prove that after four months of exchange, you have already deserved to get a citizenship).

But the real Norwegian experience can be darker than your way to the outdoor toilet at night on your last cabin trip.

1. Being thrown out from a party

Do you know that feeling when you forget about your bank account on a Friday night? When you think “I live only once” and spend all your savings on drinks at a bar? No? This is the last chance to try! Remember, the security guard asking you if you are doing fine is a great sign that you are on the right track.

2. Taking a breath at Byparken

When you have already been thrown out from a club, don’t forget to take a break in Byparken. Breathe deeply, hoping that it can help you become a bit more sober. Realize too late that you started feeling sick. Don’t worry when you throw up – everyone has experienced it. People on Friday nights are full of empathy. Surely, some good passer-by will share tissue with you.

3. Checking out your new network

When you finally catch the bybane, remember to check your new network list on Snapchat. How many personal stories did you hear in the line to the toilet? How many people wanted to kiss you on the dancefloor? How many real faces do you remember looking at the last added animated avatars?

If you really decide to use your network the same night, you can go straight to point 4!

4. Booking an appointment for a chlamydia test

Are you happy that since the pandemic is over, you no longer have to visit test points? I will disappoint you. This is the last control you should take until you leave the country. And it’s more important than checking in your luggage at the airport.

How many points on the list have you marked as done? Remember, it doesn’t matter. Let yourself spend your last time in Norway however you like.
